Become a Tutor

Join our team of passionate high school students making a difference in elementary education! To become a tutor, you must be at least 14 years old (high school age), have earned an A in the subject you want to tutor, and demonstrate responsibility, patience, and good communication skills. You’ll be expected to communicate directly with the student’s parent and maintain a consistent schedule. You may choose to tutor multiple students, but matches depend on availability. Sessions can be held online or in-person at a local library of your choice, which you’ll need to inform us about in advance. Each class may last up to one hour or less depending on the parent's preference. If you're unable to attend a session, you must notify the parent ahead of time and either reschedule or skip that week if the parent prefers no makeup. All tutoring is completely volunteer-based, and you’ll be able to earn documented hours for school, NHS, college applications, or community service awards.
